Research Scientist | Defense & Homeland Security

Position Description:

The research scientist shall be responsible for driving the development of HPC solutions in the domain of cryptanalysis. The role would include understanding the technical and mathematical complexities of the problems at hand, defining the solution approaches, carry out development in collaboration with teams within CRL. The research scientist shall also be responsible for contributing to R&D activities of the group and deliver results either as per requirement of the client or results that would qualify to be a research article in conference or journal of repute.

Candidate Profile:

Qualification:

M. Sc/ M.Tech/Ph. D. in (Statistics/Mathematics/Electrical/Electronics/Computer Science) from a reputed Institution.

Experience:

0-4 years

Required Skills:

• Background in cryptography/ cryptanalysis/ coding theory/statistical modeling. • Excellent programming skills in C/C++

Desired skills:

• Background in linear algebra, number theory, finite fields. • Familiarity with scripts(perl/shell etc) • Strong analytical abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

• Drive the solution development in the domain of cryptanalysis. • Contribute to existing development projects and R&D efforts of the group.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Explore new algorithms in cryptanalysis to keep the CRL offering up-to-date with the technology frontier. • Train junior members of the group in cryptanalysis related techniques. • Should have basic understanding of Information Security policies.
