TATA Group

The Tata Group comprises of 98 companies operating in seven business sectors: information systems and communications; engineering; materials; services; energy; consumer products; and chemicals. The Group was founded by Jamsetji Tata in the mid 19th century. The Tata Group is one of India's largest and most respected business conglomerates, with revenues in 2006-07 of $28.8 billion. The Tata Group has operations in more than 80 countries across six continents, and its companies export products and services to 85 countries.
